Staffing that holds up when your season hits

You know what your busy period looks like. The problem is finding people who show up, do the work, and stay. We recruit, screen, and place workers across Southern New England, and we manage the payroll and compliance side so you do not have to.

South 6 Group Trades operates as BJ's Service Company, staffing this region since 1998.

HOW WE WORK WITH YOU

Temporary staffing.

Cover seasonal peaks, fill-ins, and short-term projects without adding headcount.

Temp-to-hire.

Evaluate someone on the job. If they work out, convert them to a permanent employee after the billing period.

Direct placement.

We recruit and screen, you hire directly.

PAYROLL, TAXES, AND COMPLIANCE

For temporary and temp-to-hire placements, workers stay on our payroll. We handle tax deductions, wage compliance, and labor law requirements. You get the labor without the administrative load.

BILINGUAL AND TRILINGUAL RECRUITING

Our recruiters are fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. We source through community networks and our own Tu Oportunidad de Empleo channel, which brings candidates to us directly rather than through job boards everyone else is bidding on.

For your operation, that means faster fills and workers who understand instructions on day one.

HOW IT WORKS

1.

We talk.

You tell us the roles, the volume, the shifts, and when you need people.

2.

We source and screen.

Skills assessments and interviews. Background checks when the role or the client requires one. You see candidates who fit.

3.

We place and stay in touch.

We check in after placement to confirm the fit is holding.

QUESTIONS WE GET

How do you screen candidates?
Skills assessments and interviews before anyone reaches you. If a role calls for a background check, we run one at your request.

Can you staff specialized roles?
Yes. Fish cutters and CDL drivers are as routine for us as general labor. See the full list of categories on our jobs page.

How does temp-to-hire work?
The worker starts on our payroll. After the agreed billing period, you can convert them to a permanent employee.

How do we start?
Send us the roles and volume through the request form, or call the New Bedford or Providence office.
